Teams and permission groups

Team types

• Backend team owns APIs in the catalog. Its APIs tab lists the APIs assigned to it. Created with New backend team.
• Consumer team, labelled Normal Team in the portal, shares applications. Its Applications tab lists the applications shared with it. Created with New team.

The team header shows the Team type and the Created at date.

Tabs on team details

Tab	Contents
Members	People in the team with their team roles. Add member takes an email address and a role; each row offers change role, transfer ownership and remove
Permission Groups	Administrators only. The organisation-wide permission groups linked to this team, with Assign Permission Group
APIs	Backend teams. APIs assigned to this team
Applications	Consumer teams. Applications shared with this team, with Share application
Settings	Ownership Transfer (Transfer team ownership: you become an admin) and the Danger Zone with Delete team, which also removes the team's permission groups

Counts in parentheses on the tabs show how many members, permission groups, APIs or applications are attached. The menu on the team header offers Edit team name and Delete team.

Team roles

Role	Can do
Owner	Manage the team name, members, roles and shared applications, and transfer ownership
Admin	Add and remove members and adjust roles
Member	Use the team's shared applications and inherited access

Permission group screens

Administrators manage permission groups under Admin → Permission Groups. The list shows Name and Description; a group's page has an API Access tab (Add API) and a Linked Teams tab (Add team). See Reference: admin tools.
