Visibility
API-dex shows each person only the menus their role allows and the modules the organisation has enabled. When a colleague describes a screen you cannot find, one of two things is true:
- Your role does not include it. Admin, organisation Settings, a team's Permission Groups tab and My Analytics are gated by role.
- The organisation has not enabled it. The documentation tree, company management and additional environments are enabled per deployment by administrators. Without that, no role reveals them.
The same portal therefore looks different for two people who are both signed in normally. This is by design, not an error.
On a new installation, the first administrator is taken through a create-environment wizard before the full portal opens.
