Portal Layout
Main areas of the screen
- Left sidebar — Under Developer Portal, you typically see Home, Documentation (when your organization publishes docs), APIs, My Applications, My Teams, and sometimes My Analytics. Administrators also see an Admin section with additional tools.
- Top bar — Search, language, your profile menu, light/dark display preference, and (when your organization uses multiple backend environments) an environment control so you can switch which environment the portal talks to.
The environment control sits in the header on Home and on other main pages (not only the dashboard). What you see in lists and details always reflects the currently selected environment.
Home
Choose Home in the sidebar to open the dashboard. From here you can often:
- See summaries such as recent API activity or highlights (depending on what your organization configured).
- Start common actions like creating a team or an application when the corresponding buttons are shown.
Details vary by role and data available in your environment.
Environment control
If your organisation configured more than one connection to an API platform, you see an Environment control in the top bar (next to your profile and language options). It shows the display name of the environment you are using now.
- Select the control to open the Switch environment list.
- Each entry shows the environment name and its platform type (for example Apigee, Gravitee, or Azure).
- Choosing another environment reloads data for that environment — API catalog, applications, credentials, and analytics all follow the selection.
INFO
If you are inside a specific application or API product page and you switch environment, the portal may return you to Home so that details and lists stay consistent.
If you do not see the environment control, your organisation may only expose a single environment.
Documentation tree and search
When documentation pages are published, a second sidebar lists sections and pages in a hierarchy. The same secondary sidebar may include a way to open Release notes.
The header search field is labelled Search Documentation in the interface.
Language
Use the language control in the top bar to pick another display language, if your organization enabled more than one. On an API or MCP specification view, that language also selects which locale overlay is applied — see Locale overlays.
Reporting an issue
When your screen shows a narrow strip of icons beside the main sidebar, select the bug icon to open the form for Submit a feature request or a bug report (exact wording depends on your language).
Settings entry point
Administrators can open Settings from the gear icon in that same narrow strip when it is visible, which switches the sidebar to organisation-wide options.
Signing in and out
- Sign in: open the portal address your organization gave you and complete your organization's sign-in flow. After a successful sign-in you land on the home page (or the page you were trying to open).
- Sign out: select your profile picture (or avatar) in the top bar, then choose Log out (or the equivalent action).
