Teams

A team is a group of people who work together in API-dex. There are two kinds:

• Consumer teams, labelled Normal Team in the portal, share applications and collaborate on using APIs.
• Backend teams own APIs in the catalog. Every published API is assigned to a backend team, which consumers see as the contact for changes and incidents.

Each team has members with a team role. Owners manage the team name, members, roles and shared applications, and can transfer ownership. Admins add and remove members and adjust roles. Members use what the team shares.

Administrators link teams to permission groups. That link is how a team's members gain access to APIs.
